FROZEN Becomes Longest-Running No. 1 Soundtrack Since 2003

Holding steady in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for a fourth non-consecutive week, the soundtrack to Disney's FROZEN has become the longest-running No. 1 film soundtrack since 2003, according to Billboard.com.

The album, featuring the voices of Broadway's Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, fought off the "2014 Grammy Nominees" album which currently sits in second place on the charts. The last theatrical film soundtrack to spend four weeks on top was "Bad Boys II," which held steady at No. 1 in August of 2003.

"Frozen" sold another 94,000 copies in the week ending February 2nd, marking an increase of 1%, while the "Grammy Nominees" LP sold 87,000, up 47%, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Sales of the "Frozen" album may have been boosted by the film's new sing-along version which opened in over 2,000 theaters nationwide on Friday, January 31. The new incarnation features a bouncing snowflake which guides audiences through the lyrics of the movie's hit songs, including 'Let It Go,' and 'Love Is An Open Door.'

To date, "Frozen" has sold 863,000 copies and has not sold fewer than 81,000 in a week since mid-December.
