Grand Haven, MI -- Chocolates by Grimaldi, a Grand Haven-based chocolate factory, announced today that they have installed a new caramel making machine in an effort to meet the growing demand for their products. According to the company the new machine allows them to create confections more consistently at a higher quality and in larger volumes.
"Adding the caramel maker to our line of equipment was a natural choice, the new machine has allowed us to dramatically increase our caramel production," said Molli Laham, Owner and Operator of Chocolates by Grimaldi in Grand Haven. "The machine also complements the capabilities of some of our existing equipment, including our 38 foot enrober. For example, by using both of these machines we have been able to expand our product line to include items like our blueberry caramels which drench blueberries in a buttery rich caramel and enrobe them in chocolate."
Since the machine features a computerized temperature gauge, it is easier to control the temperature of the caramel and prevent scorching. It also constantly stirs the caramel so the confectioners are freed up to complete other tasks while producing a higher quality product. Additionally the new machine enables Chocolates by Grimaldi to produce Toffee & Brittle's.
