Roots Handmade Pizza will host two different rare beer tapping events -- one at each of its locations in January. There is no cover charge for either event and all beers will be served to guests on a first come, first served basis at the designated dates and times.

* The new Roots location in Lincoln Square (2200 W Chicago Ave) will host a Founders Brewing Company rare beer tap takeover starting at 6pm on Tuesday, January 19 featuring Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (commonly referred to as "CBS") is an imperial stout brewed with a blend of coffee and chocolates that's then aged in bourbon barrels that have most recently been aging pure Michigan maple syrup. Other Founders beers on tap during the event at Roots location in Lincoln Square include Project PAM (a black IPA with Crystal and Midnight Wheat malts that's then aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels), Azacca IPA, Mosaic Promise, Pale Joe, and Centennial IPA on nitro.

* The Roots location in West Town (1924 W Chicago Ave) will host a Goose Island rare beer event starting at 6pm on Tuesday, January 26 featuring all of the 2015 variants of the coveted Bourbon County Stout.

The Roots West town location will feature Proprietor's Bourbon County Brand Stout, Bourbon County Brand Regal Rye Stout, Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout, Bourbon County Brand Barleywine, and Bourbon County Brand Stout on draft during the event. Rare Bourbon County Brand Stout 16.9oz bottles will also be on sale during the event as well.
