Sophie Evanoff, owner of Vanille, the wildly popular French-inspired artisanal patisserie, with locations in Lincoln Park and Chicago's French Market, is excited to announce the official opening of Vanille Lakeview. Located at 3243 N. Broadway Street, the quaint space, will provide guests with an experience that emulates the authentic, yet cozy feeling of a true European café. Scroll down for photos from the opening event!

Vanille Lakeview's official ribbon cutting event was held on Thursday, February 4 at 5:30 p.m. From Friday, February 5 through Sunday, February 7, customers had the chance to help celebrate with some special offers including a free, legendary Vanille macaron for anyone who stops by. Also, the first 25 customers through the door each of those three mornings received a $25 Vanille gift card for their next visit, and one lucky customer received a $500 Vanille gift card.

"We are so thrilled to be expanding our roots in Chicago," says Evanoff. "Our Lakeview store offers all of our customer favorites, from our popular French macarons and croissants to our handmade entremets, luxurious wedding cakes, and fun Cubs cookies, but with some unique additions tailored especially for the neighborhood."

Black and white vintage photos line the walls of the space that hosts longer hours to satisfy late-night sweet cravings. Vanille's Lakeview location is open from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Lakeview is also the place Evanoff and her talented team of classically trained pastry chefs rolled out a new line of gluten-free layer cakes, and other additions to their beautifully and brightly filled display cases.

A graduate of Chicago's French Pastry School, Evanoff's dream has always been a career in the pastry arts, but not as a chef, rather a business owner. In her more than four years owning Vanille, Evanoff has continued to uphold its tradition of using classic French techniques to create the finest handcrafted pastries, all while expanding business. Vanille's Lincoln Park location, not only boasts a full café, but The Vanille Salon that plays host to showers, private tastings and scheduled Afternoon Tea services. Ever the entrepreneur, Evanoff even has plans to extend delivery of Vanille's macarons and confections nationwide in the coming months.

Founded in 2002, Vanille specializes in French-inspired artisanal pastries, desserts, and cakes. Owned and operated by Sophie Evanoff, Vanille prides itself on its premier quality and taste. From the ever-popular French macarons to the freshly baked croissants and handmade chocolates and candies, every creation shows Vanille's true dedication to its craft. Vanille currently operates three Chicago locations; one at 2108 N. Clark St. in Lincoln Park, one at the French Market located inside Ogilvie Metra Station at 131 N. Clinton Ave, and a new, third store at 3243 N. Broadway in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. For more information, visit vanillepatisserie.com.
