Endemol Shine North America, the producers behind MASTERCHEF and MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, announced today the lineup of fan-favorite contestants making special appearances at CAMP MASTERCHEF, the culinary camps for kids and teens ages 8-16, beginning June 2018. Campers have the chance to meet, mingle, get hands-on tips and even cook alongside the best home cooks in America. Campers will hear first-hand what it was like to be on the shows and how MASTERCHEF and MASTERCHEF JUNIOR changed these home cooks' lives.
The one-week or two-week overnight camps with themed programming will debut in two locations: Rabun-Gap, GA (June 3-July 28) and Kent, CT (June 17- August 11). Programming will include special competitions, hands-on cooking lessons, outdoor sports activities, interactive challenges and more.
CAMP MASTERCHEF gives kids and teens the chance to experience MASTERCHEF JUNIOR first-hand. The CAMP MASTERCHEF mission is to engage aspiring home cooks with an exciting, enriching culinary experience. Campers develop strong cooking capabilities, healthy lifestyle habits and personal growth skills, while having the time of their lives. Through team challenges and competitions, they form strong connections and create unforgettable memories together.
For the first time in the U.S., CAMP MASTERCHEF will offer an immersive culinary experience designed for kids and teens ages 8-16:
1. Campers sharpen their culinary skills under instruction from expert chefs.
2. Weekly rates starting at $1,360 (discounts applied through March 25).
3. Training with a staff of culinary professionals and counselors, campers develop healthy lifestyle and personal growth skills.
4. In addition to culinary activities, campers participate in sports and outdoor activities and enjoy exciting theme parties each night.
5. Campers interact with MASTERCHEF and MASTERCHEF JUNIOR contestants (to be announced).
6. Camps to launch with two East Coast locations (Georgia and Connecticut) in 2018, with additional locations to debut in 2019.
7. Camp venues include comfortable dormitories, open fields, modern sports facilities, swimming pools and other amenities to make it a summer to remember.
