Now the Casper College Department of Theatre and Dance has taken it into the urban 21st century dance scene! Come enjoy the sheer playfulness of this classic that has been transformed into neon colors, 21st century characters doing 21st century dance to Mendelssohn's score with a 21st century twist.

(4/1/2013) - Evidence, A Dance Company paid tribute to the life and legacy of Beth Young, a dance enthusiast and long-time supporter of Evidence, A Dance Company, and recognized Goldman, Sachs & Co. and, Valentino D. Carlotti for supporting the arts and community outreach at The Torch Ball on March 25 at New York City's The Plaza Hotel. (3/28/2013) - From 1964-68, Famed photographer Ansel Adams spent time at the University of California on a groundbreaking photographic project commissioned by UC President Clark Kerr. At its core the project, entitled Fiat Lux (Let There Be Light, the University of California motto) asked Adams to answer the question "How can we imagine our future?" Over the course of the project, Adams took thousands of photos of the entire UC system, culminating in a published book written by Nancy Newhall in 1967, which was revisited in a full-year, campuswide multimedia exploration of Adams' work this year called On the Same Page.

April 4-7, 2013 on Thursday - Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm at the Diavolo Dance Space in the Brewery in downtown L.A., located at 616 Moulton Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90031. (3/13/2013) - Celebrity guests recently mentored children from the Garden of Dreams Foundation in rehearsals for the upcoming Talent Show performance at Radio City Music Hall on April 16. R&B pop phenomenon Mindless Behavior, Miss USA Nana Meriwether, model Damaris Lewis, hip hop pioneer and talent show creative director Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels, Broadway star Tony Vincent (American Idiot, NBC's 'The Voice'), The Rockettes and Knicks City Dancers watched and listen as the kids rehearsed their singing, dancing, and/or hip hop acts. (3/2/2013) - The Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) held its Vision 2013 Gala honoring actress/singer Vanessa L. Williams on February 26th at the Mandarin Hotel in New York City. (1/28/2013) - The Mill Ballet School, dedicated to educating, inspiring, and creating high-quality dancers and individuals, performed at this past weekend's Lambertville-New Hope Winterfest festivities. This performance, along with the school's December 2012 benefit productions that collected over 250 food items for donation to Fisherman Mark's Food Pantry, allowed students to share the joy of dance and the spirit of philanthropy with the community at-large. The program runs Feb 1-3, 2013.
