Today, Wu Tao Dance announced the introduction of A Self-Healing Transformational Course: Healing Through the Elements. The home-study course is designed to give people the opportunity to deepen their connection to life and the life-force energy through the use of Wu Tao dances, process work, meditation, and creative expression.
Wu Tao Dance's Self-Healing Course focuses on using the power of dance to help balance the Qi or life-force energy in the body. The course is divided into sections with each one relating to a different season. Every section includes specific dances, exercises, meditations, and guidance from Michelle Locke, who founded Wu Tao Dance.
During the course, participants are encouraged to express themselves and go beyond their limitations and restrictions. They uncover old patterns, strong emotions, and feelings as they work through the process of healing. With gentle support, they are guided to new experiences while learning to allow energy to flow and guide them. Participants also keep a journal to record their experiences during the exercises.
"Wu Tao works to bring back alignment with life energy. It helps course participants go beyond the thoughts that limit expression and creates a deeper connection with life. The main form of Wu Tao is a series of dances that balance the Qi. This is achieved by activating and stimulating the channels, which are the pathways through which the Qi energy flows. Wu Tao is both movement and stillness. It encourages the development of these qualities and an experience of being in the flow of the life force," said Michelle Locke.
The course is designed to help participants restore and balance their life force. The benefits of Wu Tao dance include reducing stress, toning the body, increasing balance, improving poise, increasing flexibility, and improving overall health.
