Tiffany's Dance Academy Recognizes Student Winning Top Award at San Ramon Unified School District Student Recognition Project

Tiffany's Dance Academy is happy to recognize the achievement of one of its best and brightest students, Natalie Brown, 17, a junior at San Ramon Valley High School. Ms. Brown competed in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District's Student Recognition Project and won top honors for her dance performance.

Tiffany's Dance Academy offers professional training for dancers ages two through adult in Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Natalie Brown has been a Company dancer at TDA since she was 8 years old. "Natalie has made the commute from Danville to Livermore for nearly 10 years, which demonstrates an unequaled commitment to dance," said Tiffany Henderson, owner of TDA. "I am extremely proud of the dancer she has become and, frankly, I'm not the least bit surprised by the results of the Student Recognition Project - she's that good!" Natalie is looking forward to her senior year at SRVHS and her goal is to attend UA School of Dance.

The SRVUD Student Recognition Project is an opportunity to recognize hundreds of high school students in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District for project-based learning with a unique community twist. The students competed in any of 25 categories that showcase their skills both within and outside the curriculum. Project judging was done by professional business people with extensive expertise in the various categories."There were some amazing projects and performances by all students. Thanks to everybody that submitted or performed" said SRVHS Assistant Principal, Zach Pinkerton.

Tiffany' Dance Academy has been featured in: Dance Informa, Dance Studio Life Magazine, Dance Teacher Magazine, The Contra Costra Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and have participated in the 2006 Disney's ABC TV Christmas Special with Ryan Seacrest. They have also been awarded the Bay Area Parent Magazine "Family Favorite" award for the last three consecutive years. Background: Tiffany's Dance Academy is a dance studio founded in 2001. TDA emphasizes excellent training in Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip-Hop. Tiffany Henderson, owner/director graduated from the University of Arizona, Magna cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 1998. She has performed professionally with the Arizona Jazz Dance Ensemble at the Kennedy Center, in Washington D.C. She has also performed as far away as Amsterdam, and Japan. She currently performs bi-annually with Bay Area Dance Company.
