In 16+ a room, Emily Molnar displays her unique choreographic language through a complex study of time, transition, and stillness, where the space between is as important as the space occupied, where one is left with the feeling of both liberty and disappearance. Sharon Eyal's Billis a daring piece that showcases Ballet BC dancers in intricate and precise expressions of the body combining dance, music, and design into an instantly recognizable whole of raw, unexpected beauty. Finally, globally celebrated choreographer and former Ballet BC company member Crystal Pite explores recurring themes of acceptance and loss with Solo Echo - inspired by two sonatas for cello and piano by Brahms, as well as Mark Strand's poem Lines for Winter.
