Dance New Amsterdam (DNA), a global dance community located in Lower Manhattan that provides the ultimate studio-to-stage experience for artists to explore multiple opportunities will exhibit Figure in Motion; a series of figure movement sequences by visual artist and DNA student Griselda Healy.
Featuring DNA founder Laurie de Vito's company of seven dancers as models, Healy chose specific sequences from De Vito's work, movement and figure shapes to create the exhibit. De Vito's configurations have been created and inspired by composers Philip Glass and Armand Armar and the stunning collection consists of drawings and oil sketches with graphite and charcoal materials on horizontal scroll lengths of paper. There is no charge for admission to the exhibit.When: November 18 - January 3, 2010

DNA's Gallery Hours are 9am - 10pm Monday - Sunday.
Who: The DNA student community as well as audiences, patrons and the general public are encouraged to experience Healy's display of dance artistry.
Where: Dance New Amsterdam's 2nd Floor Gallery: 280 Broadway, entrance at 53 Chambers Street next to Modell's. DNA is located near all major trains at Chambers St/City Hall.
