Always exhilarating, unexpected, professional and thoroughly entertaining - Sonoma State University's 2014 Spring Dance Concert features over 60 SSU dancers performing new, cutting edge dance works - each with a different aesthetic sensibility. The creative talent of SSU's dance artists is celebrated with inventive movement, bold and expressive dancing and adventurous choreographic choices and a wide variety of dance styles and genres, including hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and ballet.
The dance concert features original choreography by fifteen student choreographers, including pieces by Jenna Valez and Nichele Van Portfleet, whose dance works were recently exhibited at the 2014 American College Dance Festival Association's West Regional Conference in Arizona.
