Édouard Lock's new work, which was to form part of Scottish Ballet's Dance Odysseys tonight, Friday 16 August, has been cancelled due to family illness. In its place, Scottish Ballet will now perform two works, Kenneth MacMillan's Sea of Troubles and Christopher Hampson's Silhouette on the main stage of the Festival Theatre in an evening performance starting at 8.00pm.

In its 25th anniversary year, Kenneth MacMillan's haunting Sea of Troubles explores relationships in sharp, stylised scenes. Inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet and set to music by Webern and Martinu, each character is haunted by a ghost and their own guilt.

Performed for the first time in the UK, Silhouette is an exuberant celebration of ballet at its most classic. A joyful study of composer Francis Poulenc's Concert Champêtre in this the 50th anniversary year of his death, Degas-styled dancers present clear, crisp lines in this multi-levelled journey from darkness into light.

Those with tickets for Édouard Lock's World Premiere will find them automatically valid for the performance of Sea of Troubles andSilhouette on Friday 16 August.

Those wishing to return their tickets are entitled to a full refund through Hub Tickets, Castlehill, Royal Mile, Edinburgh EH1 2NE. If customers have any queries about their refund or exchange the Hub Tickets box office team are available on +44 (0)131 473 2089 to talk through any questions.
