SCCC Welcomes Sol y Sombra Spanish Dance Company Tonight

The Lively Arts Series at Suffolk County Community College will present the Sol y Sombra Spanish Dance Company in the Van Nostrand Theatre on the Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood tonight, October 19, 2013 at 8:00 p.m.

Join the Sol y Sombra Spanish Dance Company for an exciting look at the roots of Hispanic music and dance in the rhythms of the African continent. The program will feature Spanish Flamenco, the music and dance of North Africa, with guest artists from the Mosiac Dance Company, and the music and dance of the Latin/Spanish African diaspora, with MOP Dance Company. Performances will include live drummers, singers, guitarists and the Arabic Oud.
