After selling out at previous festivals, Ross presents another year of praise dance and Gospel music. The festivities, which began on June 23rd with the Annual Bay Area Praise Dance Conference, offering a full day of workshops, choreography, and technique classes to more than 100 youth and adults at Oakland's Malonga Casquelourd Center (1428 Alice Street), continued the following day when its praise dance came back to Laney College Theater (900 Fallon Street, Oakland).

The celebrations end with Ross' Sacramento festival this Saturday July 7th at Veteran's Memorial Theater (203 East 14th Street, Davis) and the group's LA festival at Lynwood High Performing Arts on (4050 Imperial Highway) on Sunday, June 29th. This year's festivals are refreshing programs that will feature some of the largest churches in California with special performances by Ross Dance and many more.

It is a unique opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate the Gospel and see the vernacular movement from praise and liturgical dancers from all over California. Witness some of the most invigorating and spirit-filled praise ministers use their gift of dance to worship and inspire.

Ross Dance is a professional praise dance company in Oakland and is led by Dwight and Dr. Tecsia Evans. Praise dance is a significant art form within the African American community because of the essential role it plays in the African American church. Praise dance enhances worshippers' experiences and allows dancers to use their bodies to create an atmosphere of celebration, joy and thanksgiving. Ross dance promotes this pillar in the African American community through its outreach, community dance classes, apprenticeship and mentorship program and free workshops offered to dance ministers and leaders. The company reaches over 125 churches and praise dance organizations each year through their classes, guest performances, festivals and conferences.
