Nimbus presents ESTHER, an edgy interpretation of the First Testament tale of gender, power, and seduction, with full glam-rock/high-concept verve. Currently in development with Brooklyn-based indie rock band Sky-Pony (w/Tony-nominated & Drama Desk Award-winning singer Lauren Worsham), ESTHER creates crossover appeal between rock and concert dance, high-brow and low-brow, and resonates deeply in today's turbulent context.

Showcase Performance features PeiJu Chien-Pott, world renowned contemporary dancer, in the title role; and live music by Sky-Pony.

Sky-Pony serves up lush, lyrical, often cheeky indie-pop with a healthy dose of theatrics. They incorporate costumes, choreography and projections into their high-energy live shows. Rock concert meets performance art meets burlesque, you might say.

The Brooklyn-based band is a collaboration between singer/actress Lauren Worsham (Drama Desk Award winner and Tony Award nominee) and her musician/writer husband Kyle Jarrow (Obie Award winner). It also features the talents of guitarist Kevin Wunderlich, drummer Perry Silver, bassist Eric Day, cellist David Blasher, and backup singers Kristin Piacentile, Sharone Sayegh and Jessi Suzuki.

Sky-Pony's debut LP Beautiful Monster dropped December 4, 2015 from Knitting Factory Records. Their discography also includes Say You Love Me Like You Mean It (EP) and the live EPs Raptured and Songs of Love and Misery. They've released music videos for The Watcherand Say You Love Me Like You Mean It. Their stage show The Wildness ran in New York City from February-April 2016 to critical acclaim, garnering a Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Musical. www.sky-pony.com
