The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) has announced that OVATIONS DANCE REPERTORY COMPANY will once again present THE NUTCRACKER SUITE at the December. As a special feature the extremely talented dancers will be joined by the Atlantic Wind Symphony making this the only full length presentation of the holiday classic accompanied by a live 25 piece orchestra in Suffolk County. Performances will take place today and tomorrow, December 11 and 12 at 10:30 am (*special one-hour performances), December 13 at 1:00 and 7:00 pm, and December 14 at 1:00 and 6:00 pm.

The Nutcracker Suite - As the curtain rises you will feel like a welcomed guest at the Stahlbaum's lavish holiday party as the mysterious Drosselmeyer brings to life the many toys, and as the enchanted tree reaches heights beyond the theatre. Youngsters will be cheering in their seats as the life-sized toy soldiers battle the mischievous mice. Then it's on to the Land of Snow where the crystalline snowflakes dance and the Snow King and Queen perform a breathtaking Pas de Deux as the snow falls gently around them.
In ACT II, Ovations Dance Repertory Company broadens the appeal of The Land of Sweets with a multicultural production that welcomes all dancers and audiences. The Cavalier and Sugar Plum invite the enchanting Waltz of the Flowers into the Land of Sweets, where you will experience the traditional treats of Chocolate from Spain, Coffee from Arabia, Tea from China, Trepak, Candy Canes, and Mother Ginger and her Polichinelles. As an extra treat "Indian Spice" is an added divertissement bringing the flavor of bhangra music and Indian dance to add to your enjoyment.
The young and the young at heart will be captivated by the dazzling blend of choreography by Orlando Peña, lavish costumes, brilliant sets in an enchanting storybook world, and unforgettable Tchaikovsky score performed live to the delight of all the senses.Videos
