There is dance. There is music. And there is Ga-Mu.
For those who don't know Ga-Mu, it is a festival celebrating all things dance and music, but also the mystical and mythical aspects of Korean culture.
Now entering its 5th year, Noree Performing Arts, led by the collaborative work of EunSung Lee (Choreographer), Alex Burtzos (Noree's Composer-in-Residence 2017-2018), A Young Yu (Visual Artist), and Curtis Shields (Lighting Designer), returns with their 5th Annual Festival GA-MU 2018, at The Ailey Citigroup Theatre, for one performance only, May 17th at 8:00pm.
The event will feature Noree's original dance works influenced by Korean cultural elements and musical performances by Yoon Lee with Noree Chamber Soloists.
An exploration of topology and Geometry of Movement with Ellen Goldman (Choreographer), Anna Shapiro (Textiles and Sculptural Art Design Artist), and David Pearl (Composer)?, the evenng will also be featuring several selected choreographers, Rebekka Nodhturft, Awaken Dance Theater and Henry Max MacCall 4th Sun Dance Company from PLAYSCAPE 2017. Noree dance performers will include EunSung Lee, Sook Kim, Seyong Kim, Caleb Patterson, Oriana Catton, and Fallon Johnson,
