New York City Ballet's Annual Luncheon Benefit To Honor Susan Stroman

On Wednesday, February 2, New York City Ballet will hold its Annual Luncheon benefit at Lincoln Center. This year the event will celebrate acclaimed director and choreographer Susan Stroman with a special one-time only program called "Susan Stroman: Dance on Stage & Screen." Hosted by Katie Couric, the event will showcase Stroman's extraordinary career with dance excerpts performed by the New York City Ballet, film clips, archival footage, and of course, Susan herself.

Announced each year as part of the Annual Luncheon is the recipient of The Janice Levin Dancer Award, which was created by NYCB in 2000 and is bestowed upon one of the Company's most promising corps members. This year's recipient is Anthony Huxley.

Benefit Chairmen for the event are Donya Bommer, Darren Henault and Michael Bassett, Yesim Philip, Susan Tabak, Sue Ann Weinberg, and William H. Wright II.

An elegant luncheon on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater, featuring a live auction will follow the program. Décor for the event will be provided by Bill Tansey, with catering by David Ziff Cooking.

Expected guests include: Maria-Cristina Anzola, Muffie Potter Aston, Paige Bluhdorn, Celeste Boele, Claudia Cisneros, Kristin Kennedy Clark, Lisa Errico, Adelina Wong Ettelson, Fe Fendi, Nina R. Griscom , Yaz Hernandez , Lucia Hwong-Gordon, Pamela Joyner, Alexandra Lebenthal, Serena Lese, Carol Mack, Tiffany Moller, Whitney and Clarke Murphy, Neda Navab, Elyse Newhouse, Susan Newhouse, Jean Shafiroff, Patricia Shiah, Barbara Slifka, Lesley Stahl , Susan Tabak, The Hon. Kimba Wood, Laura Zeckendorf, and Valerie Zilkha.
