For more than half a century, New Jersey Ballet has thrilled audiences from Bergen to Cape May with top quality professional ballet and November 7 through the 8 in the Lackland Center they'll return to thrill with two exciting shows, NJ Ballet: Tappin' at the Ballet and Sleeping Beauty.
On November 7 at 8pm the NJ Ballet partners with the New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble to present Tappin' at the Ballet in the Lackland Center. As they say, good things come in two and so they do as NJ Ballet and the New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble combine two distinctive dance styles in one spectacular evening. Then on November 8 at 2pm NJ Ballet serves up a real treat for those young and young at heart as they present the family favorite Sleeping Beauty in the Lackland Center.
The founding of New Jersey Ballet created a profound change in the cultural landscape of New Jersey. Over the years, New Jersey Ballet has brought the magic of dance theatre to countless students, little children, senior citizens and adults of all ages. During its 26 week season, New Jersey Ballet performs a variety of works from classical, contemporary and jazz ballet at 10 venues throughout the state, and has toured nationally and around the world. New Jersey Ballet is designated a Major Arts Institution by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
Tickets for NJ Ballet: Tappin' at the Ballet are $25.00 for adults and $18.50 for children under 12. Tickets for NJ Ballet: Sleeping Beauty are $20.00 for adults and $17.50 for children under 12. As with all concerts, jazz and special events ticket orders increase $5.00 day of the performance. All ticket sales are final.
