MoveUP! DANCE ACADEMY Offers New Dance and Movement Classes for PreK-5 Students

After 13 years of providing dance education for over 1,500 multicultural PreK-5 students annually in five Title 1 schools during the school day, we are launching a new series of dance and movement classes for all ages at Studio 517 in The Clemente Center, on the Lower East Side, 107 Suffolk Street, New York, NY 10002.
· MoveUP! DANCE ACADEMY
A wide range of classes, from Flamenco to African and Bollywood dance styles, from yoga to pilates and more. Offered after school and on weekends.
Taught by our team of experienced Teaching Artists, supervised by Director of Education, Susan Thomasson, in a newly-refurbished sunlit studio with dance and exercise equipment.
· MoveUP! DANCE FESTIVAL presents two evenings of new choreography,
Nov. 10 & 11, 2015 in the Flamboyán Theater, The Clemente Center,
107 Suffolk Street, New York, NY 10002.

· SALON PERFORMANCE SERIES presents bi-monthly dance performances curated by Mark DeGarmo PhD, Founder, Artistic & Executive Director.
Juilliard-trained and the recipient of multiple awards including a Fulbright Fellowship and this year's Martha Hill Mid-Career Award, Mark DeGarmo begins the series with solo performances of his own choreography presented on: Oct. 7, 21; Nov. 4, 11, 18; Dec. 2, 16; Jan. 13, 27; and Feb. 10 at 7pm.
Additional performers as well as exhibitions related to MDD's dance education programs will be added to the fall and winter schedule.
