Robert Hoffman will be returning to the Rocket City to conduct our Annual Evening of Dance Workshops and choreograph a very special 10th Annual Community Piece!
Robert is best known for playing the lead role in "Step Up 2 The Streets" which won him an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, winning an American Choreography Award for his work on "You Got Served", his team-ups with Ellen Degeneres to make Dance Prank videos, and his internet video sensation, "The YES Dance". Robert Hoffman has lived a career most people dream of. Robert found his love for teaching at a young age and has taught extensively on a national and international level. His acting credits include "Aliens in the Attic", MTV's "Wild 'N Out", "She's the Man", and "90210".
Each year Merrimack Hall commissions a choreographer to audition dancers and set an original piece of choreography to be performed both nights during the Evening of Dance and at the 2nd Annual Junior Evening of Dance. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this year's Community Piece and to take class from this phenomenal artist and choreographer!
This year, master classes and choreography will be held in December over a three-day period to accommodate more students. The cost for the Master Classes (1 class for each age group and an audition class where dancers will receive audition feedback) will be $75.00. If dancers wish to only take the master class or only audition for the piece, the cost is $40.00 for a single class.
The Community Piece will be cast through the audition class, but feedback will also be given to dancers to better themselves for future auditions. If selected for the community piece, the choreography cost is $160.00.
