Friends of Nashville Ballet invites the public to attend the second annual beer tasting event, Beer at the Ballet, on Friday, August 20 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Nashville Ballet studios, 3630 Redmon Street, Nashville, TN 37209, which is located in the heart of Sylvan Park. To purchase tickets in advance for $40, visit http://patron.tpac.org/main.taf?siteName=nbal&p=9,5,1&productionID=1436 or pay $50 the day of the event.

Beer at the Ballet, co-chaired by Rose Cox and Amos Gott, is geared toward Nashville's young contemporary crowd, 21 years of age or older. The evening will feature beer samplings from Yazoo Brewery, Dan McGuinness, and Magic Hat Brewery, along with food tastings provided by local restaurants Virago, The Mad Platter, The Local Taco, Zumi Sushi, and The Cupcake Collection.

Included in the ticket price, each guest will also receive a complimentary membership to Friends of Nashville Ballet, which provides various perks and discounts throughout the year for Nashville Ballet performances and events, and is a vital part for the ballet's fundraising and volunteer efforts. Nashville Ballet has a loyal following, and the popular Beer at the Ballet event provides up and coming patrons with knowledge about the ballet, and opportunities to network, meet new people and support the local arts.
