The ?Fox Cities Performing Arts Center will welcome back Makaroff Youth Ballet along with the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra for The Nutcracker Ballet this weekend, Dec. 6. and 7. This year the arts groups will also be joined by Lawrence Academy Girl Choir for the performance.
Watch in awe as talented local dancers tell the classic holiday tale of Clara's adventures with the Prince and his army of toy soldiers, the Mouse Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy, accompanied with live music by the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra and Lawrence Academy Girl Choir. Kyle Davis, a Green Bay native and former student of Jeanette Makaroff, will return to again dance the lead role of Cavalier. Davis currently performs with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and his dancing partner, Jahna Frantziskonis, will join him in this upcoming production as the Sugar Plum Fairy.
The production will take place Saturday Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday Dec. 7 at 1 p.m.
The Nutcracker Ballet is part of the Boldt Arts Alive! Series, which is supported by the title sponsor, The Boldt Company. The show is sponsored by Bergstrom Automotive and St. Elizabeth Hospital.
