Miro Magloire announces performances of his New Chamber Ballet, featuring the world premiere of Constantine Baecher'sLost & Found, and Magloire's complete version of Ravel'd, a fast-paced trio set to Ravel's Sonata for violin and piano, # 2. The Company's choreographer-in-residence, Constantine Baecher, will premiere Lost & Found, a dance/theater work for three dancers, pianist, and sound speakers. Baecher, a former member of the Royal Danish Ballet and director of his own dance company in Copenhagen, was inspired by the narrative structure drawings of American artist Mark Lombardi. Performances Friday & Saturday, June 17 & 18 at 8 PM in the company's home base of City Center Studio 5, 130 West 56th Street.

From the repertory the company will perform:

Silk, a trio to Giuseppe Tartini's Sonata VII for Solo Violin. Following the work's 2006 premiere, Jennifer Dunning noted that "Mr. Magloire's pieces felt like conversations with the music. Music is clearly his first language. His ballet vocabulary is circumscribed, and he covers space, ardently, with sweeping to-and-fros." (The New York Times, September 2006).

Voicelessness, an abstract duet set to Swiss composer Beat Furrer's Voicelessness: The snow has no voice. Reviewing in danceviewtimes.com, Mary Cargill found that "Magloire's confident use of space and the dancers' concentration drew the audience in and it had a hypnotic fascination." (November 2015)

Magloire's Quartet is set to Arnold Schoenberg's ultra-short little Piano Pieces, compositions that illustrate the composer's rebellion against romantic excess, choosing instead a path or subtle, abstract expression. Soshana Rosenfield, formerly with New York City Ballet, will be featured in the role created in 2014 by Kaitlyn Gilliland.

** Ravel'd was commissioned by Leslie and Richard Curtis.
