The New York City Ballet has announced that choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett, singer Patti LuPone, and NYCB Principal Dancer Wendy Whelan will take part in a 90-minute seminar on May 9th, to discuss the creation of Taylor-Corbett's new work, The Seven Deadly Sins.

Sin and redemption have long been a subject of inspiration for writers, musicians, and painters. The Kurt Weil/Bertold Brecht original score and libretto for the ballet The Seven Deadly Sins was first choreographed by George Balanchine in Paris in 1933 with Lotte Lenya and Tilly Losch in the leading roles.

Re-staged for NYCB by Balanchine in 1958 with Lotte Lenya and Allegra Kent, this season New York City Ballet presents Taylor-Corbett's vision of how human beings resist or respond to temptations as interpreted by two of today's leading stage artists.

The Seminar will take place at 6 pm on May 9th at the David H. Koch Theater, located at W. 63rd St. & Columbus Ave. For ticket information visit www.nycballet.com.
