In a collaboration between the LA Phil and Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, "Available Light -- Creators in Conversation" reunites choreographer Lucinda Childs, composer John Adams, and architect Frank Gehry, in a post-performance discussion about the evolution of Available Light, the production that opened the Temporary Contemporary (Geffen/MOCA) 31 years ago. This conversation is open to ticket holders for the Available Light performance tonight, June 5.

Available Light, a co-presentation of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center and the LA Phil, will be presented on the stage of Walt Disney Concert Hall, and feature re-imagined choreography from Childs, performed to Adams' original taped score, on a set newly designed by Gehry.

These performances are a part of "Next on Grand: Contemporary Americans," a festival of music and dance embraces contemporary music by American composers, from its most established voices - Philip Glass, Steve Reich, and John Adams -- to its most emergent ones -- Caroline Shaw, Andrew Norman, Christopher Cerrone, and more. Complete programming details are available at LAPhil.com/NextOnGrand.

Available Light (new production, LA Phil and Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center co-presentation and co-commission) features music by John Adams, choregoraphy by Lucinda Childs and set design by Frank Gehry. The creative team comes together on Friday, June 5, at 8pm for "Available Light - Creators in Conversation", immediately following the performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall, 111 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90012. Tickets are available in person at the Walt Disney Concert Hall box office, online at LAPhil.com, or via phone at 323.850.2000.
