NYC actor/producer/musician Christopher Bayon is proud to announce the world premiere of his new Off-Broadway musical, FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH. Under the musical direction of award-winning New York big band leader/composer, Seth Weaver, FWIW presents a unique portrayal of a love story told entirely through music and dance. Inspired by STOMP, the story pits jazz versus classical musicians in a musical battleground. When the jazz Trumpet player (Bayon) falls for the classical Violinist (Xiaoqing Zhang), will love be "instrumental" in bridging the two genres?

The world premiere of FWIW will be presented for a limited run, on Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm,Monday, May 1st at 7 pm, and Tuesday, May 2nd at 7 pm at Theatre 80 St. Marks in the East Village. Tickets can be purchased here! The show features top NYC-based musicians, including Grammy-nominated Jazz Saxophonist Thomas Hutchings, Manhattan School graduate Michael Brinzer as well as other talented artists who have performed leading roles in musicals and independent films across the U.S.

Bayon conceived of the musical from his own experience playing both music genres. He says, "I played classical and jazz music all my life and there's always been a separation of the two. This play is a great way to meld the two worlds and accept the music as one, instead of categorizing it as either classical or jazz."
