Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre will bring its site-specific brand of immersive performance to the historic Southwest Museum building as part of a commission by the Autry Museum of the American West and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Inspired by Charles Fletcher Lummis's 143-day trek from Cincinnati to Los Angeles, this mobile dance performance will take the audience through the historic 1914 museum building that was the vision of Charles Lummis. Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre company members Nicholas Heitzeberg, Teresa Barcelo, Zoe Nelson, and Micah Abbrey will be joined by So You Think You Can Dance season 12 contestant, Lily Frias, and Glee's Matthew Peacock. Local composers Chris Garcia and Jeronimo Rajchenberg will accompany the dancers, playing live musical arrangements.

Following the performance audience members will have the opportunity to meet the artists during an informal reception. Staff from the Autry and the National Trust will share information about the architecture and Lummis himself.

143 Days is presented in partnership with the Autry Museum of the American West and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, in conjunction with the 11th Annual Lummis Day Festival.
