Hartt School Dance Division Presents DIVULGE Oct. 28-29

The Hartt School Dance Division presents DIVULGE, the Fall Senior Dance concert, on Friday, October 28, at 7:30 PM, and Saturday, October 29, at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, in the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Black Box Theater, Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford. Ticket prices are $20 for adults with discounts for senior citizens, students, alumni, educators, and groups of 10 or more. University of Hartford students, faculty, and staff are eligible to receive one free ticket with current University ID. DIVULGE is a student concert choreographed and performed by six Hartt Dance Division seniors. DIVULGE features solo works choreographed by guest choreographers from companies such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, DancEnlight, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, Koresh Dance Company, and Shannon Gillen & Guests. The performance also includes original group works created by the senior class using concepts inspired by the struggles we face when stricken with the realities of life, such as abandonment, anxiety, entering a new chapter of life, and unification. Two of the evening's works feature collaborations with students from Hartt's Instrumental Studies Division and the Hartford Arts School.

Dance students performing in DIVULGE include Abby Price of Chester, CT; Hayley Descavich of Greenfield, MA; Luke Bermingham of East Granby, CT; Michele Lee of Langhorne, PA; Tia Perry of Suffield, CT; and Emily Campanelli of East Hartford, CT.

The Hartt School is the comprehensive performing arts conservatory of the University of Hartford that offers innovative degree programs in music, dance, and theatre.
