Isabella Soto is an extraordinarily gifted young dancer of color, and a dance and music student at Harlem School of the Arts (HSA).
For the past week, she has been living out her dream, dancing at the MET with the American Ballet Theatre (ABT), in the current production of Don Quixote as one of the Baby Amours.
Isabella continues to build on her dreams as she is one of the lucky students accepted into the ABT JKO School, where she is currently continuing her ballet training. She was part of a group of 20 chosen for the ABT Bridge Classes, a two-year program that identifies young talented dancers of color, ages 8-10, for the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School.
The class provides a bridge from ABT to the New York City community and also serves to identify and train talented young students with potential for careers in dance.
