Groundworks Dance Theater Coming to the Ware Center, 9/28

GroundWorks Dance Theater is imagination you can see! Critically celebrated as an artistically significant ensemble, GroundWorks explores the nuances of the human experience through its unique and adventurous choreography. The Northeastern Ohio-based dance group is set to bring its special brand of cultural excitement to dance lovers and novices alike to the Ware Center in a performance on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m.

Founded in 1998 by its award-winning artistic director, David Shimotakahara, GroundWorks Dance Theater is guided by his vision, which has been to break new ground in the dance world by creating fresh, fascinating performances of passion, intellect and humor to encourage interdisciplinary collaborations-and to challenge all preconceptions about dance.

The program will feature the following performances: "Brubeck" by Shimotakahara, "CoDa" by Koresh, and "Hindsight" by Taylor-Corbett.

Tickets are $18 for reserved seating, $5 for students with valid I.D. Tickets can be purchased by calling 717-871-7600 (please note that this is a new number). On the web at ArtsMU.com. In person at the Ware Center Box Office (42 N. Prince St., Lancaster) or at the Student Memorial Center Ticket Office on the Millersville University Campus. Ticket Offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. If tickets are still available they may be purchased the day of the show, one hour prior to the performance.

Discount parking vouchers for the Prince Street Garage (located at the corner of North Prince and West Orange streets) are available at the front desk of the Ware Center on the day of the performance.
