the topic with Jawole Willa Jo Zollar (founder of Urban Bush Women; Sarah Skaggs, modern dancer/choreographer and Miriam Mahdaviani, former NYC Ballet corps member and first female choreographer at NYCB.

Performance excerpts include: Zollar's "Anarchy, Wild Women and Dinah" Mahdaviani's "Adagio for Two" and Skagg's "Noh Body."

The screening is followed by a live panel discussion reflecting on the concerns in 1980's to the realities of today. Curator Celia Ipiotis speaks with Ms. Mahdaviani, Ms. Skaggs and Camille R. Brown, modern dance and theater choreographer. This is followed by a Q & A.

In an EYE ON DANCE video episode on "Synthesizing Dance and Performance Art with Technology," produced in 1987, EOD moderator Celia Ipiotis discusses the work of performance artists Meredith Monk and Ping Chong in mixed media performances. The conversation taps into their association, common interests, collaborations and themes like alienation. Performance excerpts include segments from Monk's "Break" and "Quarry" as well as Chong's "Kindness."

The screening is followed by a live panel discussion extending the EOD conversation to current projects focused on the integration of media and live performance and the art of videotaping dance. Curator Celia Ipiotis speaks with Myrna Packer and Art Bridgman, choreographers/dancers integrating dance and media; and Dan Madoff, film producer, editor, director and former Cunningham dancer. This is followed by a Q & A.

Created by Celia Ipiotis and Jeff Bush, EYE ON DANCE (EOD) was a television series launched in 1981 to deepen the public's understanding of the full spectrum of dance forms that intersect to produce American dance. An in-depth interview-based series, the socially and historically framed discussions were illuminated through performance excerpts. After airing weekly on PBS for more than 25 years, EOD became the single largest primary source archive on dance. Bush and Ipiotis lead the

EYE ON DANCE Legacy Archive Project through the nonprofit organization ARC.
