Some of the greatest ballet dancers from around the world will convene in Guadalajara, Mexico, later this month for DESPERTARES, a celebration of the art of dance under the artistic direction of the English National Ballet's Isaac Hernández.

Bolshoi-trained Gennadi Nedvigin, former principal dancer with the renowned San Francisco Ballet since 2000, will take the stage for the last time ever before transitioning into a new chapter in his career.

In August, Gennadi will take on a new challenge across the country - serving as artistic director of the Atlanta Ballet, the fourth in the company's 87-year history.

During his final performance, he will be joined by one of Atlanta Ballet's fabulous Company dancers, Nadia Mara, to mark his transformation from elite performer to artistic leader of one of the country's most prestigious and historic companies.
