Today, we feature Oregon's celebrated company, Ballet Fantastique!

Ballet Fantastique was established in 2000, became an Oregon nonprofit in 2003, and earned 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2004. Annually, BFan produces or participates in dozens of concerts and events and collaborates with more than 40 individuals, organizations, and arts groups. Performances and events reach more than 10,000 audience members annually.

Ballet Fantastique was the first non-profit professional training school in Eugene and advances our mission through high caliber training and performance programs that strive to make dance available to people of all backgrounds and means.

Ballet Fantastique's professional contemporary chamber ballet company has been invited to perform across the Northwest and will soon be the first US dance company to perform in San Benedetto, Italy. Ballet Fantastique produces a full concert season at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, and has collaborated with world-class musical groups, including the LA-based band Incendio, Shelley and Cal James and their Agents of Unity Band, Eugene Symphony, the Oregon Mozart Players, and the Trio Voronezh.

Ballet Fantastique has been called a "bold, cross-disciplinary ballet company" and "haunting and delightful" (Eugene Weekly, 11; Register Guard, 10), and recognition for efforts to "push the artistic envelope to engage more local audiences in dance" (Eugene Weekly, 06).
