Everett Dance Theatre takes audiences on a journey into the universe's most complex structure, the human brain, with Brain Storm on Saturday, January 28, at 8:00pm.

Tickets for this performance are $20 for students/seniors and $35 for adults.

Brain Storm is informed by interviews with leading brain scientists, as well as a 2-year residency at New Hampshire's Crotched Mountain Foundation, a leading facility for brain injury. Brain Storm dramatizes what neuroscience has to tell us about our thoughts, actions and desires, and ponders what the coming neuro-revolution may have in store. The brain holds an innate interest and is a rich subject for a dance/theater piece. It is perfectly suited to the kind of in-depth, research-driven, and visually layered examination that Everett Dance Theatre is known for. The company believes it can play a synthesizing role, looking at disparate elements and finding unexpected connections. As storytellers, they can translate technical information into affecting human stories. As humanists, they can anticipate and critique the social implications of technological advancements. Everett will seamlessly blend elements of choreography, storytelling, factual information, humor, and video projection, to create a multimedia dance/theater experience that informs, entertains and provokes thought. Educational programs such as public forums and lecture demonstrations will be developed alongside the performance and will extend the dialogue to grade schools, universities and community settings wherever the show is performed. Uniting the arts and sciences in a mind-bending masterwork, Everett's Brain Storm is an experience that your gray cells won't soon forget.
