In celebration, the company has embarked on an innovative and creatively progressive virtual season unveiling weekly a premiere dance video that showcases the versatility of Gwirtzman's choreography. From technical to abstract, serious to satirical, these videos serve as a countdown to the culmination of this celebration at BAM Fisher later this spring.

The first five videos of series 1 are now available on the company's website and Youtube channel. Series 2, a film series entitled "From Brazil With Love" commences this Sunday, March 23rd. These installments provide fans and audiences an intimate journey through the beautiful landscape of Brazil. The series is an apparent and eloquent exploration of site specificity in regard to the creation and interpretation of movement. The Brazil series celebrates the culture and people of Bahia, Brazil--its topography, its fluctuating climates, its past and present political upheaval and its proximity to the water. They represent a celebration of life and of time--and the ephemeral nature of both.Gwirtzman is well traveled and serves as the perfect tour guide, using the universal language of dance as his medium in the aim to preserve the range of fleeting moments we experience in a lifetime. In this series, Gwirtzman has distilled his time in Bahia for audiences everywhere, where they can have a front row seat and experience time, place, and emotion through the eyes of another.

Chegada, the first film in this series, will be available for viewing at http://www.gwirtzmandance.org/fifteen, on Sunday, March 23rd, beginning at noon, as will the four films to follow.
