The program begins with Maryland's poet laureate, Stanley Plumly, reading his poem, In Passing. Mr. Murrell will project his drawings with the help of Dean Capper, media artist, as backdrops and then draw links on and between these backdrops to enhance the narrative of the dance. The music is by Steve Reich, Music for 18 Musicians, and the dancers are Samantha Govoni, Li-Ann Lim, Lauren Previte, Dondre Taylor-Stewart and Dahne Yaitanes.

After a pause, a solo by Margot Parsons, When will be danced by Ann Gaziano to the music of Jeroen van Veen. Ali Smith, assistant director of Dance Currents Inc. will present Sculpt with music by Olafur Arnalds, performed by Samantha Govoni and Lauren Previte. Donald McKayle's, Rainbow Etude (1996) will be performed by Dondre Taylor-Stewart, a former student at the Ailey school and currently a Visual and Media Arts major at Emerson College. All Right Back Here (2014) created by Margot Parsons and performed by Marin Orlosky-Randow and Ethan Pravetz to Plantio do caboclo by Heitor Villa-Lobos will conclude the program.

Dance Currents Inc. is thrilled to present and collaborate with so many fine artists. Mr. Plumly is traveling from Maryland to read his poetry in conjunction with "Drawn In."
