Dance Academy USA Production Company Auditions to be Held on April 6th-7th

Dance Academy USA Production Company, the renowned San Jose dance school's premier competition team, has announced that auditions to join the team will be held on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th. Applications to participate in the tryouts will be available beginning on Wednesday, March 20th and are due back by April 1st.

The Dance Academy USA Production Company (DAUPC) is an accelerated training program for those students who want additional performance opportunities. Dancers are required to take additional performance and technique classes and membership invitations are offered on an audition-only basis. All DAUPC members must re-audition every year, as the team is highly competitive, with slots available only for the best dancers and brightest stars. DAUPC has participated in countless dance competitions in the past and, in nearly each and every case, they have returned home with dozens of top awards.

The Dance Academy USA Production Company recently took home awards in eleven categories at the NUVO Dance Competition on February 15-17th. These victories were followed up a few weeks later with 41 awards in 7 separate styles of dance at the ShowBiz Talent Competition on March 2nd-3rd.

Background

Dance Academy USA was founded in 1990 by James R. and Jane R. Carter. The business has since expanded in size, becoming the largest dance studio in Northern California with a staff with over 50 employees. Jane Carter is a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in Human Performance and Fitness and a minor in Nutrition and Food Science. While at San Jose State University, Jane was a member of Spartan Spectrum Dance Team. While in college she was also selected as the Dole Corporation "Ambassador" which allowed her to teach dance in Japan. Additionally, Jane is a former dancer for the Golden State Warriors and a professional cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers.
