DANCE MOMS Lawsuit Takes Misstep for Abby Lee Miller

Dance Moms fans may remember the November 22, 2013 incident between dance mom Kelly Hyland and star Abby Lee Miller, which Miller claims Hyland bullied and assaulted her on an episode.

Abby Lee filed a $5 million lawsuit that is still pending. Today, the LA Superior Court's Judge Ruth Kwan said she will likely throw out the defamation and emotional distress claims from Hyland against producers Collins Avenue Entertainment. However, she made it clear that she hasn't yet made her final decision. The Judge also said she may allow Hyland's breach of contract claims to continue based on a further hearing next week.
