Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie (CLC) presents the world premiere of UPLICA - A silhouette of a doubt, a full-evening work for dancers Laurence Lemieux and Erin Poole that opens October 16 and runs to October 25 at The Citadel.
Set to an original score by award-winning composer and sound-designer John Gzowski, this tailor-made choreography by Gadly's Ofilio Portillo and Apolonia Velasquez reveals movement that is fast-paced, athletic and mesmerizing - exploring reverse projections of two personalities. Canadian Rep Theatre's Ken Gass serves as production consultant, with costume design by HOAX Couture and lighting by Simon Rossiter. Apolonia Velasquez and Ofilio Sinbadinho are co-Artistic Directors of Dora Award-winning street dance repertory company Gadfly (gadfly.ca), co-founders of TUDS Festival of Urban Dance Culture, two-time finalists for the K.M. Hunter Award in Dance (2013 & 2014), and Manifesto Award recipients for Innovation & Originality. This creative duo is committed to increasing the visibility of street dance.

A Dora Mavor Moore Award winner for Outstanding Performance in a solo created by Christopher House (Cryptoversa), Lemieux was a 2013 nominee for her performance in Kudelka's From the House of Mirth and a 2014 nominee for her performance in the remount of her own solo Les cheminements de l'influence (both presented by CLC), which launched The Citadel in 2012.
