The Brooklyn Nets will hold open auditions for the Brooklynettes dance team on Saturday, June 23 on the Barclays Center Practice Court. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the audition begins at 11 a.m.
The Brooklynettes, presented by Crunch Fitness, will perform at all Brooklyn Nets games at Barclays Center during the 2018-19 season and will represent the team at events throughout the New York metropolitan area and internationally.
Special guest judges will be in attendance at the auditions, including BLOC Talent Agency representative Fatima Wilson, Jessica Castro, Candace Brown, Neil Schwartz, and guest choreographer Chuck Smith.
Wilson's clients have worked with renowned artists, including Beyoncé, Drake, and Rihanna, and have been featured on Saturday Night Live, HBO's Girls, The Get Down and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Castro has toured the world with artists such as Rihanna and Mariah Carey, and has been featured in two Super Bowl halftime shows with Janet Jackson and Beyoncé. Brown has choreographed for artists such as Nicole Scherzinger, and has danced and assisted on shows including X-Factor and Dancing With The Stars. Schwartz has choreographed for Pharrell Williams, Icona Pop, and Channing Tatum, among others. Smith has collaborated with Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, Rihanna, and Ciara, and his work has been featured on ABC's Good Morning America.
