Celebrating its 45th anniversary as America's premier Latino dance company, Ballet Hispanico will be seen in performance in movie theaters nationwide tonight, November 12 at 7:00 pm (local time), as the third program of the Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance series. Led by Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro, Ballet Hispanico performs repertory that reflects the ever-changing diversity of Latino cultures. On November 12, the company will perform two audience favorites: CARMEN.maquia, an electrifying contemporary take on Bizet's passionate opera choreographed by Spaniard Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, and Club Havana, a virtuosic re-imagining of a sizzling nightclub by Cuban-born choreographer Pedro Ruiz.
