American Repertory Ballet's 50th Annual Nutcracker production will come to Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton on December 7, 2013 at 1:00pm and 4:30pm. The company has been performing its Nutcracker at this theater for over 20 years.
American Repertory Ballet's current version of Nutcracker, choreographed by Artistic Director Douglas Martin, with additional choreography by Resident Choreographer Mary Barton, features the Act I Party and Battle scenes from Estey's original production. This year, there will be a brand new growing Christmas tree, designed by Carl Sprague.
ARB's Nutcracker is a special opportunity for select students from Princeton Ballet School to join the professional company on stage. Many are from the Trenton and Princeton areas.
After the 1:00pm performance on December 7 at Patriots Theater, there will be a special chance for audience members to meet costumed characters. Princeton Ballet School Director Mary Pat Robertson will moderate a discussion with the dancers. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and to request autographs.
For tickets to these Trenton performances, call 877-987-6487 or visit http://www.nj.gov/state/memorial.
