American Ballerina Merrill Ashley Set for Dance Talk with Houston Ballet, 4/16

On Tuesday, April 16 from 8:00 - 9:00 pm, join Houston Ballet for a free Dance Talk, in which the great American ballerina Merrill Ashley will be interviewed by principal dancer Connor Walsh about her career, her collaborations with the legendary choreographer George Balanchine, and her staging of the Houston premiere of Balanchine's masterpiece, Ballet Imperial, running May 30 - June 9 as part of Houston Ballet's program Journey with the Masters.

The Tuesday, April 16 Dance Talk is free and open to the public at Houston Ballet Center for Dance, 601 Preston Street, Houston.

During her 31-year career as a dancer with New York City Ballet, Merrill Ashley was considered one of the great Balanchine ballerinas, and she now helps keep George Balanchine's legacy alive by staging his ballets for companies around the world. For more information on Ms. Ashley, click HERE.
