(New York) August 18, 2015 - The Ailey Extension welcomes three of the hottest dancers and choreographers in the commercial industry for a weekend-long Heels Intensive Friday, August 21 - Sunday, August 23. Viral video sensation Yanis Marshall comes all the way from Paris to lead a weekend of high heels dance workshops with Danielle Polanco and Aisha Francis. Students at the Advanced Beginner level and higher are invited to attend this fierce and dynamic intensive. Heels required!

About the Artists
Yanis Marshall has appeared on the French version of Dancing with the Stars, choreographed for Ukraine's So You Think You Can Dance, and is the new choreographer of Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity in Las Vegas. He is known for his intricate and fun heels choreography, and his viral videos have even been shared by artists like Beyoncé, Ciara, and Ariana Grande.
Danielle Polanco trained at the Ailey School before taking on the world of commercial dance. She is best known for her leading lady role in Omarion's "Touch" video, and for playing Missy Serrano in the hit movie Step Up 2: The Streets. She has choreographed for and performed with top artists including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Usher.
Aisha Francis was an LA Laker Girl from 2001 - 2002, has danced on TV shows like So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and in the films Burlesque, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, andMalibu's Most Wanted. Aisha has toured the world with top artists including Prince, Cher, Rihanna, and many more.
The Ailey Extension offers over 80 classes per week in more than 25 diverse dance and fitness techniques, fulfilling Alvin Ailey's life-long commitment of bringing dance to everyone by offering "real classes for real people." Techniques include Ailey Barre,West African, Yoga, Horton, Hip Hop, and Kukuwa African Dance Workout. In addition to regular weekly classes, the Ailey Extension also offers unique workshops throughout the year, such as Hearts of Men (August 23 - September 4), a two-week workshop designed to unite male dancers of all ages and backgrounds, and to broaden the artistic experience.
