Announcing the fourth annual National Choreography Month (NACHMO) Boston performance series. On January 29 to 31 and February 7, 2016, 27 local choreographers will present new dance work created during the month of January, dubbed National Choreography Month. The Dance Complex in Cambridge, MA, will host the series of shows as an OUTTAHOUSE Production.
Each evening will feature a unique roster of new work in the styles of modern, post-modern, contemporary, latin, tap, ballet, and dance-theatre. Works will range from solos to duets and group works.
January 29 - 31 NACHMO "Shorts" are works-in-progress that serve as the pre-show for the Dance Complex's CATALSYTS performance series. There will be an opportunity for audience members to offer feedback to choreographers. February 7 will be stand-alone NACHMO performances.
NACHMO performances celebrate the vibrant creativity of the Boston dance scene and aim to forge new artistic connections to strengthen the community. Tickets are offered at a sliding scale; $10-$15 for general admission. Advance tickets are available here http://nachmoboston2016.bpt.me/ (the show is expected to sell out).
