Louis C.K. Postpones MGM Grand Garden Arena Debut, Originally Set for 3/8

The Louis C.K. performance originally scheduled for Friday, March 8 at MGM Grand has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts related to the comedian's current movie project. A new performance date may be scheduled in the future. All tickets purchased can be refunded at the original point of purchase.

Louis C.K., one of the most honest and respected comedic voices of his generation, has found success in both television and film as well as on the live stage.

Louis currently serves as executive producer, writer, director and editor of the comedy series, "Louie," on FX. His past stand-up specials include "WORD - Live at Carnegie Hall," "Live at the Beacon Theater," "Hilarious" and "Shameless," among others. The funnyman's past writing credits include the "Late Show with David Letterman," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "The Dana Carvey Show" and "The Chris Rock Show." He also co-wrote the screenplays "Down to Earth" and "I Think I Love My Wife" with Chris Rock.

The popular comedian has earned a number of accolades over the course of the last two years including two 2012 Emmy Awards - one for "Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special" ("Live at the Beacon Theatre" stand-up comedy special) and the other for "Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series" ("Louie"). He was nominated for five additional 2012 Emmy Awards including "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series" and "Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series." In 2011, Louis was honored as the "Comedy Person of the Year" at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. He was recognized for his comedy on several year-end Top 10 lists including TIME Magazine, Entertainment Weekly and the AFI Awards. Louis also won a 2012 GRAMMY Award in the "Best Comedy Album" category for Hilarious, released in 2011.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena is home to concerts, championship boxing and premier sporting and special events. The Arena offers comfortable seating for as many as 16,800 with excellent sightlines and state-of-the-art acoustics, lighting and sound. Prominent events to date have included world championship fights between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson as well as Oscar de la Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez; and concerts by The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Bette Midler, George Strait, Janet Jackson, Phil Collins, Billy Joel, U2, Lady Gaga, Sting, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Jimmy Buffett and the Barbra Streisand Millennium Concert. The MGM Grand Garden Arena also is home to the annual Academy of Country Music Awards, annual Billboard Music Awards, annual iHeartRadio Music Festival and the Frozen Fury NHL pre-season game which features the Los Angeles Kings vs. Colorado Avalanche.
