Today, June 3 Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) will broadcast Spirited Songs: A Celebration of Choral Music in an hour long broadcast beginning at 8 p.m. This broadcast is part of WPT's "Young Performer Initiative" which celebrates Wisconsin's young performers.
Spirited Songs: A Celebration of Choral Music took stage this past February at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and featured 250 singers of all ages from the Appleton Boychoir, Lawrence Academy Girl Choir and White Heron Chorale . This was the first time all three choirs performed together onstage since the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center's Grand Opening celebration in 2002. Spirited Songs: A Celebration of Choral Music was part of the Center's 10th Anniversary Signature Events. The three choirs were among the first ensembles to perform at the Center, and returned to highlight the Fox Cities' thriving performing arts community.
WPT will also provide songs and interviews not included in the broadcast on wpt.org.
