The Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, in it's Local Artist Series presents "Gloria Ferry-Brennan and Guests" March 9, 2012 at 7:30 pm.
Violinist, Gloria Ferry-Brennan, will perform solo pieces and selected works with her quartet for an intimate performance on the main stage at WICA in the Local Artist Series.
The evening's program includes music from Bach Partita #3 E Major, Poulenc Violin and Piano Sonata, Beethoven Violin Concerto in D Major, and Shostakovich Quartet #10, just to name a few."Gloria Ferry-Brennan and Guests" will perform at 7:30 pm on Friday, March 9, 2012, all seats are by donation. Guests include Ms. Brennan's Quartet, the Fresco String Quartet, featuring Brennan, Felicity James, Jeffrey Lee, and Tim Pizzichemi. Also performing with Brennan will be piano soloist, Hiro Imamura David.
Brennan is a 15 year-old freshman at South Whidbey High School on Whidbey Island. She has just returned from Maine where NPR recorded her in their studios for the nationally broadcast show called From The Top which will air in two weeks. Brennan recently performed at Benaroya Hall in Seattle with the Seattle Youth Symphony.

The WICA Local Artist Series was launched in 2001 to create opportunities for local artists to perform at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts. Open to all disciplines, four applicants are chosen through a jury process to perform during the season.
