Timothy D. Stickney Stars in TWAS' 'Hamlet' in April

Take Wing And Soar Productions will present William Shakespeare's Hamlet at the Workshop Theatre on 312 W 36th St., from April 13th through 29th.

Starring Timothy D. Stickney as Hamlet, the show is directed by Elizabeth Swain and features Petronia Paley (Gertrude), Arthur French (Polonius, Gravedigger), and Jerome Preston Bates (Claudius).

Stickney, recognized as RJ Gannon on ABC's "One Life to Live," recently appeared in King Lear at the Public Theater. Deeply rooted in Shakespeare Theatre, Stickney was rewarded by the AUDELCOs for his recent efforts, scoring Best Actor Nominations for his Othello in 2002 and his Richard III in 2003. He also directed Julius Caesar for the Inaugural TWAS Classical Lab Reading Series in 2004, as well as the all female cast of Othello, in last year's Lab.

Also appearing in the production are Geoffrey Warren Barnes II, Larry Floyd, David Heron, Mary Hodges, Zainab Jah, Michael Leonard James, Tom Martin, Kwame Riley, Miguel Sierra, Carsey Walker, Jr., Bryan Webster and Dathan B. Williams. The creative team features Scenic Design by Rob Dutiel, Costume Design by Ali Turns, Lighting Design by Jane Shaw, Sound Design by David D. Wright, and Fight Choreography by Ron Piretti.

Take Wing And Soar Productions, currently in its 4th year, is one of New York's newest, not-for-profit, Theatre Arts Corporations. This production of Hamlet is TWAS' twelfth production & third main stage project.

Hamlet will run Friday, April 13th—Sunday April 29th, Wednesday – Saturday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm. The Workshop Theatre is at 312 West 36th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues, on 4th Floor East.
